ABOUT OUR MATERIALS
From our wax and fragrance blends to the vessel you bring home, every component has a purpose. We make our candles in small batches, with close attention to the details that shape your experience.
Here’s a closer look at what goes into a BURND candle.
OUR WAX — THE FOUNDATION OF EVERY CANDLE
We use a high quality coconut-apricot wax blend as the foundation of our candles. Wax carries the fragrance and fuels the flame, making it an essential part of how each candle performs.
Our goal is a balanced combination of wax, fragrance, and wick that suits each scent and its vessel.

OUR FRAGRANCES — BUILT TO TAKE YOU SOMEWHERE
Every BURND fragrance is chosen for both the atmosphere it creates and the ingredients behind it.
We select fragrance oils formulated without known carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins (CMRs), acute toxins, or organ toxins, based on documentation provided by our suppliers. These standards guide every oil we choose and every blend we create.
From the first impression to the smallest supporting note, we give thoughtful ingredient selection the same attention as the scent itself.
OUR WICKS — A SMALL DETAIL WITH A BIG ROLE
Wood wicks are part of the BURND experience, bringing a distinctive look and fireside feel to each candle.
The wick also has a practical job: delivering the flame that powers the entire candle. Its size and compatibility with the wax, fragrance, and vessel all matter. That relationship guides our wick selection.
Follow the care instructions supplied with your candle to keep the wick properly maintained between burns.
OUR VESSELS — PART OF YOUR SPACE
Our black ceramic vessels give each candle a simple, substantial presence, allowing the label artwork and warm light of the flame to stand out.
We want the vessel to feel at home wherever you choose to unwind, whether that’s a quiet corner, a bedside table, or the center of an evening gathering.
Once the candle is finished and the vessel has been cleaned, it can find a second use holding small everyday items. Keep reuse decorative unless the vessel is specifically confirmed suitable for food or drink.
OUR DEVELOPMENT — THE DETAILS TAKE TIME
Each BURND scent begins with an idea of somewhere we want to take you. From there, we explore individual oils, compare combinations, and refine the blend's balance.
Fragrance testing strips help us explore a direction. Understanding how that blend performs in a candle is a separate stage of development, where wax, wick, fragrance, and vessel come together.
CANDLE CARE — ENJOY THE ATMOSPHERE
A little care belongs in every burn. Read the instructions supplied with your candle, including its wick-trimming guidance, maximum burn duration, and stopping point.
Always burn within sight on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep the candle away from drafts, flammable objects, children, and pets. Keep the wax free of debris, and allow the vessel to cool completely before handling it.
